Donald Allen, President

Don graduated in Building Science from Auburn University in 1985. Straight out of school, he went to work for a general contractor who specialized in large U.S. Corps of Engineers contracts. After working with them as a superintendent, estimator, and project manager, he started his own company.  He has been in business continuously since 1986.

Being the son of a third generation builder, Don has been involved in construction his entire life. He has worked at every level from digging foundations, to framing and finished carpentry. He has experienced the business from every angle, giving him the knowledge required to successfully run a business.

Don has been involved with many of Auburn's major multi-family and commercial developments. He employs a highly competent staff which frees him to devote time and energy to development ventures and his customers. Don takes a very personal approach to all his clients.

Don's marketing talents, his knowledge of finance, his familiarity with lending institutions in the region, and his overall experience as a developer make him one of the most progressive, innovative, and sought after builder/developers in the area. He is often able to help less experienced building clients put their own building packages together, including the "up-front" feasibility and financial information.

Some of Don's primary concerns are the responsible development of our area, our community's needs, his responsibility to his clients, his commitment to his employees, and his integrity in business and life.

Rusty Lewis, Superintendent

Rusty Lewis, born in Sioux City, Iowa, was raised mainly in Auburn and attended Auburn University. Rusty has been in construction for the greater portion of his life. He began working as a laborer in 1969. He soon advanced through the skill levels required to become a project foreman. During the 1970s, Rusty ran crews and furthered his extensive on-site experience. Rusty has been a superintendent and project manager since the early 1980s. His demand for quality and timely work reflects his "old school" values. Rusty's experience, tenacity, and loyalty have made him an important member of the company since 1987.

Shannon Wester, Estimator

Shannon Wester was born in Fullerton, California and has lived in the Auburn area since 1992. Shannon graduated with honors from Auburn University, and earned his degree in Building Science. Shannon worked his way through school as an employee of Donald H. Allen Development, Inc. Beginning as a laborer, Shannon's love for woodworking inspired him to become a highly skilled finish and form carpenter. Shannon became a project superintendent at Donald Allen Development in 1996, and then in 2007 he took on the position of Estimator. Shannon's dedication to quality and performance, as well as his attention to detail, makes him an outstanding estimator.

Gerald Allen, Superintendent

Gerald Allen began his career in construction as soon as he was old enough to work. He started out as a laborer, working for his father and uncle who were successful homebuilders. Gerald honed his skills as a talented finish carpenter and started his own business as a builder of custom homes. Gerald came to work for Donald H. Allen Development, Inc. in 2001. His quality-consciousness, developed over the years as a custom builder, is evident in the projects that he has completed for the company.

Stan Paris, Superintendent

Stan Paris was born in Evansville, Indiana and raised in Anniston, Alabama. Stan attended Jacksonville State University. He has made Auburn his home since 1991. He is a third generation carpenter and a former member of Carpenter's Local 1725, Anniston Chapter. Stan has 22 years in the field of construction. The last 10 were spent as a project superintendent. Thanks to his remarkable organization skills and professionalism, Stan has been a valuable asset to the company since his employment with us.

Stan Fuller, Superintendent

Stan Fuller was born in Decatur, Alabama and was raised in LaFayette.  As soon as he was old enough to work, he started working at LaFayette Fuller Construction.  He studied building science at Southern Union for two years.  In 1999, Stan was promoted to Superintendent at LaFayette Fuller.  Stan joined Donald Allen Development in January of 2005.  His dedication and reliability have made him an asset to the company.  

Korey Webb, Superintendent

Korey is a graduate of Auburn University and has a degree in Building Science.  He was raised in Dothan, where he worked in both commercial and residential construction.  He has been with Donald Allen Development for two years, and has recently been promoted to site superintendent.  Prior to that, he worked as a field engineer in Atlanta for two years. 

Robbie Hardy , Superintendent

Robbie was born and raised in Auburn and knows this community inside and out.  He started out working for his dad and has been a builder all his life.  He has worked as a superintendent for the past 9 years.  Robbie came to join Donald Allen Development in December of 2006 and has been hard at work ever since.  His experience and attention to detail makes him an excellent addition to the company.

Hank Allen, Project Manager

Hank Allen was born in Auburn where he has lived, worked, and completed his education at Auburn University. Hank graduated Auburn earning a degree in Building Science while working his way through school with the company. Hank's tremendous organizational skills and dedication allowed him to complete his degree and maintain his responsibilities with the company as an Assistant Superintendent. Hank has recently been moved to project management and is a key employee with the company.

Greg Darden, Development Coordinator

Greg Darden was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. The son of a successful builder and developer, Greg has always been involved with the construction industry. Greg graduated Auburn University with a degree in Business Management and Building Science. Greg worked after school as a sales manager for a custom woodworking company and later started his own construction company. Today he works with Mr. Allen on project development and acquisitions. Greg has a State of Alabama Real Estate License.  He also handles environmental and quality issues for the company.

Kelly May, Office Manager

Behind every great company is the Office Manager, and Kelly is no exception. Kelly's prior work with contractors and her last endeavor with the Opelika Building Department gave her the special skills required for her duties as the Office Manager. She keeps our busy office focused and organized with her courteous and efficient manner with the customers and associates, her understanding of procedures, and her initiative.

Jessica Smith, Technical Writer/Assistant Office Manager

Jessica has recently completed her Masters in Technical and Professional Communication. She recieved her Bachelor's in English from Auburn in 2001 and worked for the U.S. Government Printing Office in D.C. for four years. Jessica assists Kelly with administrative tasks, maintains our website, creates a variety of marketing and promotional materials, and generally helps out where needed.  She has been with the company since January of 2006.

Jane Meadows , LLC Manager

Jane is an Alabama native recently returned from Georgia.  Her experience working in a busy insurance office has given her the skills needed to handle our clients, partners, employees, and subcontractors with courtesy, reliability, and attention to detail.  Jane began working for Donald Allen Development in September of 2007.

Max, Company Mascot & Chief of Security

Max has been with the company for 3 years.  He is our most loyal and dependable employee.   Max is responsible for greeting everyone who comes through our door, and he expects attention from everyone who enters the office.  He assists with our landscape maintenance and fertilization of the shrubs.  In his spare time, Max also serves as a weather dog and alerts us to any possibility of severe weather.  His hobbies include cat chasing, riding in boats, and supplying the office with many different fragrances.   His office hours are 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.
